Girders with goffered wall could be applied successfully to flooring spans in size of 12-30 metres.
Girders with goffered wall could be applied successfully to flooring spans in size of 12-30 metres. A special program was made by experts of the design-industrial company “Green Kaska” for calculation of these girders.
The calculations have allowed to make schedules of metal consumption at 1 square meter of the overlapped area at various spans of girders. The accepted loadings have been focused on girders with spacing of 6 metres, bearing loads of light coating like "Sandwich" type panels meeting the requirements of the III-rd type snow region.
Our team calculated the girders with constant and with variable sections of chords along a span and with application for chords steel grades (marks) Ñ245 and Ñ290. Results of calculations are presented in graphic form on Fig. 1.

Fig.1. The consumption of steel for the girders depending on their span (designed load q =1560 kg/m).
It is necessary to note, that change of sectional view of chords on length of a girder makes it possible to save metal. Further saving may be achieved with increase of span lengths. Application bi-steel girders with chords made of Ñ290 steel and wall made of Ñ245 steel also essentially increases saving of metal.
Figs. 2 - 4 Show a comparison of metal consumption for usual welded girders and for girders with the goffered walls with constant and variable sectional view and with different types of steel.

Fig.2. Comparison of metal consumption in girders with the goffered wall and usual welded girders of constant sectional view
(Rated load q=1560 kg/m.; girders length - 6 m; steel - Ñ245).

Fig.3. Comparison of metal consumption in girders with the goffered wall and usual welded girders of variable sectional view
(Rated load q=1560 kg/m; girders length - 6 m; steel - Ñ245).

Fig.4. Comparison of metal consumption in girders with the goffered wall and usual welded girders of constant sectional view
(Rated load q=1560 kg/m; girders length - 6 m; steel - Ñ290).

Fig.5. Comparison of metal consumption in girders with the goffered wall and usual welded girders of variable sectional view
(Rated load q=1560 kg/m.; girders length - 6 m; steel - Ñ290).
The results of comparison confirm high efficiency of girders with goffered wall in comparison with regular welded girders. |
